Meat, a Beautiful Village in Balige, The North Outskirts of Lake Toba
I visited Meat after the one thousand (1,000) tent event that was held in Meat Village in June 2019. After seeing cool photos of the beautiful Meat Village lined up on Instagram and Facebook, I was amazed at the beauty of the place and finally I decided to go there.
For those of you
who don't know the location of Meat Village, friends who want to travel here,
don't hesitate, Google Maps and Waze can guide you there. Meat Village is one
of the villages in Tampahan District, Toba Samosir Regency, North Sumatra
Province, Indonesia.
Besides enjoying
the beauty of Lake Toba, this village is home to friendly residents (villagers are kind and
polite). Upon my arrival there I was
immediately invited to chat by villagers who were working plowing the fields Oh
yeah, for information Meat village has a vast expanse of rice fields and this the village has been designated as a tourist attraction.
If you look at this
village in passing, you might think that there is nothing special here, but if
you go deeper into the middle of the village, there is a collection of Batak
houses that have existed for hundreds of years, and are still preserved for ancestral heritage and history.
After getting a lot
of information from the villagers earlier, I went to a high spot to fly the drone and see the visible the charm of this village from the height. This village is even more beautiful if you
use a video drone because with it you can get a great view of the rice fields flanked by a hill that juts into Lake
Toba.
